Revolutionary timber finish combines natural oils with LED technology for zero VOC, instant curing
Oslek Coatings will unveil its innovative LED Hardwax Oil at the Professional Woodworking Expo, introducing a breakthrough timber finishing solution that cures instantly while maintaining the natural beauty of traditional hardwax oil.
Oslek’s LED Hardwax Oil represents a major step forward in timber coatings, combining the heritage of natural oil and wax finishes with advanced LED curing technology. While the timber finishing industry has remained largely unchanged for decades, Oslek is reimagining hardwax oil for modern manufacturing and high-performance applications.
Designed for timber flooring manufacturers, furniture makers, and floor polishers, the product delivers a durable, breathable surface that protects against dirt and moisture—without the long drying times typically associated with oil-based finishes.
Made in Australia, the coating uses a unique blend of natural waxes and resins, enhanced with LED curing to achieve:
- Instant curing
- Zero VOC emissions
- No odour during application
- Immediate handling and processing
Traditionally, hardwax oils have been valued for their natural appearance, repairability, and tactile quality, but have been limited by slow drying times. In some conditions, surfaces can require up to three days between coats—creating significant bottlenecks in production environments.
Oslek developed its LED curing technology to eliminate this constraint, drawing inspiration from energy-curing systems used in industries such as dental materials, printing, and cosmetics.

Visitors will be able to see live demonstrations of the coating and experience the instant curing process firsthand. Oslek Coatings will be exhibiting at the Professional Woodworking Expo, NEC Birmingham, from 23–25 June 2026 at stand H2-A50.
