PMB
PMB (Particle Multi-layer Board) is a high-performance multi-layer board engineered specifically for direct lamination. It features a full eucalyptus multi-layer core, with New Zealand pine fine particles bonded to both surfaces to form a particleboard layer, all consolidated in a single press cycle on the world’s first continuous flat-press line dedicated to multi-layer boards. PMB solves the two fundamental problems of traditional plywood
– uneven surface and inconsistent thickness
– delivering the flatness of particleboard with the stability of multi-layer board.
Key Features
High Surface Precision
The continuous flat-press process, combined with double calibrating sanding on silk‑grade sanders, achieves a thickness tolerance of ±0.05mm – finer than a human hair. The extremely smooth surface allows direct lamination of PET, high‑gloss UV, melamine paper, wood veneer and other finishes, with a lamination yield exceeding 99.5%.
High Environmental Standards
The surface layer uses MDI formaldehyde‑free adhesive – zero formaldehyde emission. The panel is certified to NAF, CARB P2, F★★★★ (Japan), CE and FSC® – fully compliant for export to the US, EU and Japan without formaldehyde concerns.
Moisture & Warp Resistance
MDI adhesive forms permanent chemical bonds with wood fibers, giving PMB outstanding bonding strength. Its water‑insoluble nature also provides excellent moisture resistance. 24‑hour thickness swelling is 8%, making PMB suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, coastal areas, and crack‑free even in dry climates.
High Lamination Efficiency
PMB is manufactured under high temperature and pressure, making it fully compatible with high‑temperature lamination. Its lamination parameters are identical to those for MDF and particleboard - no parameter adjustment is needed when switching substrates. Compared with conventional plywood lamination, PMB can reduce lamination cost by up to 50%.
Long‑Term Stability
PMB achieves true standardized production of multi‑layer boards, with strict quality control and daily laboratory testing on every batch, which ensure reliable, long‑term performance for end users.
