BS&B FlameFreeTM venting devices retain the flame and hot gases of a deflagration as well as providing filtration of burning and unburned dust. All flame free devices contain an appropriately selected explosion vent that meets the application requirements. After explosion vent activation, the heat quenching stainless steel filtration media absorbs the flame energy and provides particulate filtration. Rectangular devices provide full flame absorption and partial particulate filtration. Round devices provide full flame filtration and near full particulate filtration.
